Combining elemental aspects of the Atlantic Ocean and refined culinary practices of Japan.. this film relates the tale of Julian Farmer, an Aussie surfer engaging with two cultures, fusing his love of surf and food to enrich the communities he passes through.
Oishii was made for the first edition of the ‘Irish Surf Film Festival’ which launched in Galway City, 2023.
The film features chef and surfer Julian Farmer as he prepares for 3 nights of a 7 course Japanese inspired dinner in Bundoran’s local cafe Foam.
We see how Julian expresses his creativity both in the kitchen and on the waves of the west coast of Ireland.
